Hi! My name is Lauren Johnson.
I am a designer, plant fanatic, and dog mom in Chicago, lucky enough to be doing what I love!
Over the past few years, I have taken on design roles in marketing departments, B2B teams, and internal creative agencies.
Through these positions, I have become an expert in branding & brand standards, advertising campaign creation, web design, and email design & development. I have become passionate about web accessibility standards and ensuring that the web, the most important source of information, organization, and leisure, is usable for everyone.
Most recently at Theorem, I was brought on to revamp the brand guidelines and website. During the new Automation solution launch, my team and I collaborated and created a successful ad campaign that drove website traffic by 1,000% and doubled qualified leads.
Before Theorem, I was on an outstanding team at Everspring for four years. I learned almost everything I know during this time. My primary focus at (and outside) Everspring was visual design, specifically digital advertising and paid media, print, email, and UI/UX design and development.
I love to get my hands on front-end development when I can! I have been using HTML, CSS, and (a little bit of) Javascript since my senior year of high school. I am proficient in Adobe CC - Illustrator (my favorite), Photoshop, InDesign, XD, After Effects, Animate, Lightroom, and Premiere Pro. I also have a working knowledge of Marketo, Workfront, Figma, and Sketch.
Outside of work, you can find me walking my dog (more often sleeping on the couch with him though), exploring Chicago, spending time with my big Italian family, or working on a puzzle.
Please contact me on LinkedIn or email me to see more work examples or pick my brain about my favorite fonts!
